Oberammergau, Bavaria
About:
Day trip to the the village of Oberammergau, Bavaria. Oberammergau is a municipality in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in Bavaria, Germany. The town is famous for its production of a Passion Play, its woodcarvers, and the NATO School. The Oberammergau Passion Play was first performed in 1634 and is the result of a vow made by the inhabitants of the village that if God spared them from the effects of the bubonic plague then sweeping the region they would perform a passion play every ten years. The play is now performed in years ending with a zero, as well as in 1934 which was the 300th anniversary and 1984 which was the 350th anniversary. It involves over 2000 actors, singers, instrumentalists and technicians, all residents of the village. These painted houses are amazing works of art. I'm wearing one of my Angela Cartwright scarves created from my art. http://bit.ly/acVIDAartwear
Travel Quest Austria/Bavaria 2017:
My past trips to Bavaria and Austria was amazing. We had fun, laughs and a great time in Salzburg and at all the locations where I filmed the movie The Sound Of Music. We go places and I tell stories you won't have heard on any other tour... because I was there.
My Travel Quest to Salzburg 2019 is Sold Out! But you can follow in my footsteps and join me on my 2020 tour with the fabulous Christmas markets. I hope you will join me on my journey and experience it all.
