The Door
Some places never really leave us.
The Places We Carry is a collection of small landscapes created from places that feel familiar, although I can't always say why. Have I been there? Did I pass through once and tuck it away somewhere in my memory? Was it a dream… or perhaps a reality? They are glimpses of somewhere remembered—a distant horizon, a quiet place, somewhere we may have loved or simply dreamed about. Each one begins intuitively, allowing color, texture and memory... to find their own way onto the canvas.
We all carry places within us—the ones we've been, the ones we've left behind, the ones we've dreamed, and the ones we still hope to find.
